Excavat was contracted to recontour and resurface a section of road at Ballance. The existing road had deteriorated significantly, with numerous potholes causing safety concerns and disrupting daily operations.
The main challenge was the poor condition of the road, which made a simple patch-up insufficient. Instead, a full recontouring process was necessary to create a stable foundation before resurfacing. Additionally, the work needed to be carried out efficiently to minimise disruption to factory operations. We undertook a full road recontour, carefully shaping the surface to improve drainage and stability. High-quality aggregate was used, along with advanced compaction techniques, to ensure a durable and long-lasting finish.
