Stormwater Renewal Ōpunake

Excavat was contracted by South Taranaki District Council (STDC) to undertake the Opunake Stormwater Renewal project.

This upgrade involved replacing outdated 650mm steel corrugated stormwater pipes with robust 950mm concrete pipes, improving capacity and reliability.

The stormwater system was rerouted through a council reserve, avoiding private property and minimising disruption to the community. Additionally, we enhanced the stormwater outlet by constructing a new riprap boulder headwall, providing long-term stability and erosion protection.

With 38 meters of upgraded pipework, this project reflects our dedication to delivering high-quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
